AvtoVAZ CEO says Lada Russian sales may double in 2023
MOSCOW, Dec 7 (PRIME) -- Russian carmaker AvtoVAZ expects sales of its Lada cars in the country to double on the year to about 350,000 vehicles in 2023, CEO Maxim Sokolov said on Thursday during the Russia Calling! investment forum.
“There will be a special aspect here because we will start accumulating cars at the end of this year that should be sold next year, this is why there would be a certain imbalance between the sales on the market and our sales,” he said.
“It will amount to up to 350,000 cars. Still, we think that it will be a great achievement this year for AvtoVAZ and for our dealership family.”
In 2022, Lada’s Russian sales amounted to 188,600 vehicles.
